PICKAPICK at Hong Kong’s Ukulele Camping Carnival: Gifting Strings & Joy to Over 100 Uke Lovers

When we heard Hong Kong’s 2025 Ukulele Camping Carnival (Dec 6-7) was calling for a little uke magic, we knew exactly what to bring: two custom-built showstoppers—one blushing pink with cherry blossom details, the other soft blue swirled with cloud patterns—crafted to spread joy among the event’s diverse crowd.

With over 100 attendees filling the lush grounds of Hong Kong’s 5-Star Campsite, the carnival was a beautiful blend of generations and uke passions: there were lively kids’ ukulele clubs strumming upbeat tunes, seasoned adult groups sharing intricate chords, and everyone in between bonding over their love for the instrument. Artists like GJ.Lee and Joseph Gara led open jams that brought these groups together, and our two custom ukes quickly became the heart of the fun.

The pink cherry blossom uke stole the spotlight with the younger crowd—kids from the children’s club gathered around it, taking turns to play and giggling as they learned simple melodies. Meanwhile, the soft blue cloud uke found its way into the hands of the adult club, who incorporated it into their harmonies and even dedicated a impromptu jam to its dreamy design. By the end of the weekend, both instruments were gifted to lucky attendees—one a young uke enthusiast, the other a long-time player—turning our custom creations into cherished souvenirs.

Sponsoring this carnival wasn’t just about showcasing our designs—it was about witnessing the magic of music bring people of all ages together. Seeing over 100 uke lovers, from kids to adults, light up when they picked up our cherry blossom and cloud ukes? That’s the joy we strive to create.

Here’s to more campsite strums, cross-generational jams, and spreading the ukulele love across Hong Kong. Until next year’s gathering!
